James Day graduated from Dartmouth College and holds a Masters degree in performance from
the State University of New York at Stony Brook where he studied viola with John Graham and
Jean Dupouy; he also studied harpsichord with Anthony Newman and Peter Wolf. He has played
as principal viola with orchestras in both America and Europe, including the Saskatoon
Symphony Orchestra, the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, and the orchestra of Teatro San Carlo.
Cheryl Dungan Cunningham is a graduate with High Distinction with a Bachelor of Music in
Harp, Bachelor of Music Education, and Master of Music in Harp from Indiana University,
Bloomington, Indiana. A student of Peter E. Eagle and Susann McDonald, she was the winner of
the Concerto Competition at Indiana University in 1981. Cheryl has appeared as soloist with the
Ambler Symphony and Philadelphia Doctor's Symphony, and has been harpist with many
orchestras, including the Arkansas Symphony, South Jersey Symphony, and Delaware Valley
Philharmonic Orchestra. She maintains a busy private teaching studio, and does extensive
freelancing in the Philadelphia area.
